1984 Topps – Eric Rasmussen

You know, it’s funny. Earlier today, I was wondering what the best possible combination of a great moustache and an awkward pose for a photograph would be. And then, I found this baseball card, and my questions were answered.

Eric Rasmussen pitched for parts of eight seasons in the majors. His last stint was with Kansas City as pictured on the beautiful piece of cardboard above. He pitched over 200 innings in a season twice, and also hit .119 in 260 at bats. That’s about all the statistical information you need.

He currently works with the Minnesota Twins as a Coordinator, Pitching. No word at this point on whether he’s learned how to pose more comfortably.
